My
Pledge
I pledge allegiance
to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic
for which it stands: One nation, stolen from another through murder,
slaughter and attempted genocide of all [Native Americans]. ***
Feel that's rather harsh? Look at the definitions and think about
what happened in the past, then decide for yourself.
Murder: The unlawful killing of one human being by another,
especially with premeditated malice.
Slaughter: The killing of a large number of persons.
Genocide: Systematic, planned annihilation of a racial,
political, or cultural group.
The truth hurts sometimes, but it must be known. We cannot build
a future on lies.
*Yes, I plan to get plenty of flak about this
one.*
